I'm having trouble Finding anything on this. My rig has been picking up radio stations like crazy. I'm running my Epic into an SWR350 head with an EQer running into the effects loop and everythings plugged into a furman PC. I'm kind of at a loss here because I havnt had troubles with this before, if theres anything I can do please hellllp! I don't want to listen to CK105.5 anymore! |

Try narrowing it down some. Do yout get radio noise when run the SWR head alone? If not then add the EQ to see if you get noise, and if not add the effects loop and so on. Check your patch cables and guitar cables too. |

Ok I am led to believe it is either my cord or my bass. It's not as bad as it was yesterday for some reason, but when i turn the gain up (over half) is when i start getting the interference. I use livewire cables so it's not great, but not a super cheap one. Hmmmm... |

Have you looked inside the bass to make sure it has the ferrite bead for the pickup wires to loop through? Keith |

I'm gonna open it up and take a look. If I remember correctly it is, but I'm going to make sure |

My RF knowledge is limited, but as I understand it a cable will sometimes act as an antenna. You might want to try a different cable and see if it makes any difference.... JP |

JP is correct. If the shielding (outer metal wrap that connects to the sleeve of the 1/4" plug) of the cable is broken anywhere along it's length, the cable will act as an antenna. It most likely would be either end but it could also be in the middle if the the cord got stressed or heavily kinked. Trying a different cord would be a big clue. Mike |

Do you know anyone with a guitar transmitter/reciever, if so try your bass with your rig using this. If it disappears then JP is right..if it gets worse..oh dear more problems!! |
