Congratulations and welcome!
Yes, pictures please.
Mica should be able to track down whateveer is available in their paper files. Give it a little time. She'll modify the title of this thread with an "X" when she finds your bass' build sheet.

I love these early Alembics. This on looks to be in real good shape too.
Cograts Chris.
On a side note the first Alembic I'd ever seen was in 1977, a cat named Chris owned it.

That is a real nice one! That is the type of bass for me! It looks to be in terrific shape too. Did you get it with a silver or blue power supply?

I play my lembic in Casinos alot & all the electronics/lights etc...can have an effect on our older basses, your bass looks like it has'nt been played for quite a few years which kept it practiclly in New shape for 1975!........Sweeeeeeet!

Congrats Chris !

I found it on "Guitar Center's Vintage Collection" at July 2005.
I got my 76' MSB 5strings at that time.

Please call me, if you want to deal it in the future.

Hi Chris,

I found the details about your bass. There is only the 3x5 index card with some scant record of the construction, and we haven't seen it here since. Anyway, here's what I know:

top and back: California Walnut
core: Birch
neck: Walnut and Maple, 30.75" short scale
fingerboard: Ebony with Abalone inlays
peghead veneers: Walnut
originally made for: LD Heater, OR
birthday: not recorded

There is one previous registered owner in CA from 1991.

There's no other information to share. But I've added the photos from this page to the file.
