Please let me know any information you have on SN# 86P3972. I purchased the bass over 17 years ago but had very little information on it at the time. From other parts of the website I have been able to figure out the following: - Persuader Model - Born in 1986 - 3972nd Alembic bass built. Although I can't post a picture now, my bass appears to be a bit different than other Persuaders that I have seen on the web in that it is all black with chrome plated tuners and bridge (curious to know whether all black is usual for this model). Thanks! |

Hi Joshua, Well, the file is pretty skimpy on this one. What I can tell you for sure is: Persuader PMB4 86P3972 Black finish Chrome hardware birthday: April 25, 1986 During this time, there were a good many Spoilers, Persuaders, and Distillates made in the Black/Chrome recipe. While it's not standard, it was the style at the time, and you'll probably see other basses of this age made with approximately the same specs. Most Persuaders with this scant record will have: 3-piece Maple neck, 32" medium scale Ebony fingerboard with pearloid oval inlays solid Maple or Mahogany body 2 volume and 1 filter control Sorry there wasn't more information generated when this bass was built. |
