I am getting ready to install a couple of new volume pots in my 1976 Series 1. Is there anything I need to know before or be careful of while I am installing them? It looks pretty straight-forward, just three lugs per pot. Thanks.

Are they making any noise when you turn them?

Keavin- No it's mostly just the bridge volume pot. It had always turned a lot more freely than the other one, so I was turning it back and forth to clean it and it felt like a spring or something broke inside and it scrapes when you turn it, but it doesn't make any noise.
