I've just purchased this 94 Epic and would like to know it's ownership history, if any, or anything else that may be in the file. It is in absolutely pristine condition, not a single blemish on it that I can find. It came with flat-would strings, a hard case, and a small practice amp, all for $1000. I think that this time I got a good deal! Best of all, as soon as I saw it I fell in love with it...sweet shape, beautiful wood, plays wonderfully. I'm a happy guy who can't wait to get home from work each day so I can learn something new. By the way, I'm not yet a bass player, just a converted guitarist. |

Hi Donovan, congrats on the Epic! Alembic doesn't reveal ownership info as that's considered confidential; however, the next batch of serial number searches should pull up your build info and the original dealer. Mica, who does the searches in her spare time, is on maternity leave, so it may be a little while before she or someone else runs another batch of searches. Enjoy! |

Hi Donovan, Here's the details from the instrument file: top: Flame Maple accent: Purpleheart pinstripe body: Mahogany set neck: 3-piece Maple, 34" scale fingerboard: Ebony finish: satin natural polyurethane* originally made for: Elderly Instruments, MI birthday: December 22, 1994 Nobody else has registered this bass and there is no repair history. *We don't use this finish anymore. It's thin and has the appearance of an oil finish, but it is sealed with polyurethane. This coating doesn't offer much protection from damaging forces, and has a tendancy to shine up on the elbow cut and below the neck pickup from playing. |
