Hi Jerome, Welcome to the Alembic Club! And congratulations on your recent acquisition! The first 2 numbers designate the year 1998 and the "K" is for an Essence then the remaining numbers are the number of instruments that have been built (instrument 11593). I searched for a possible previous build request and did not see one. Mica, at Alembic HQ, usually does these look ups and will report back in this thread what is found on file. Again, congratulations! Play it Healthy! Art (Message edited by artswork99 on December 22, 2007) |

The controls are described here. The woods are probably: Body: Quilted Maple top and Mahogany body. (I can't see it, but there may also be a Walnut veneer.) Neck: Five piece Maple with Walnut veneers. Peghead: Top and back Quilted Maple with Maple & Purpleheart veneers. Pickups: MXY 5/6 Tuners: Gold Gotohs Hardware: Brass Tailpiece: Half Moon Bridgeblock: yes Logo: bronze And I would guess the taper on this bass is probably Comfort, and the side markers are probably Bronze. But I'm just guessing; the build card will be more reliable. |

Very nice pictures Jerome. That quilt on the Maple top is very nice! Again, enjoy that bass! |
