My Fender P-Bass has Alembic Activators installed.
On a recent outing, I've noticed the volume pot when turned full up..continues to turn until it clicks and goes around again..in other words the pot now rotates 360 instead of stopping at full open. The thing is, it works as it should, I get volume control, but this is not how the pot should behave. Nothing happened to the bass (that I'm aware of) to cause this.
Without opening her up (which I will do at some point today) I seem to recall the pots are sealed and not serviceable.

any suggestions?
I'm thinking I should just send the works to the mothership for repair?

The stop has broken on the pot. The only thing to do is to replace the pot. As you've observed, you can use it, but operation can be annoying when the thing keeps spinning.

You can either order a new replacement pot and install it yourself, or you can send your harness in and we can install a replacement pot for you.
