So we played a Battle of the Bands here in Virginia Beach, had a blast and got advanced to the finals. We were tight, had improved vastly on our stage presence, and rocked the house. The real star of the show, however, was the Epic. Run through the PA from my BBE BMax preamp (sorry, won't be affording a F1-X or F-2B), the bass lived up to it's name. Great sound, awesome playability, and so much fun it should be illegal.

Thanks again guys. It may not be a Series bass, but it's got a sound no one else can touch.

Having a blast!

Nice shot of the Epic in the third picture! The top looks really nice in that light!

I agree Tim, not that I wouldn't enjoy a Series bass, but I love the sound of my Epic. The set neck has it's own way about it, that I really enjoy.

God speed in your battle. JBY

The Epic rocks dude. I just got one not too long ago, and it has, as another member aptly put, a lot of "mojo". Enjoy playing it! :-)

From our show this past Friday. Not a particularly good show, we've been having issues internally... *shrug* The audio is pretty bad, we clipped the crap out of the video camera's mic, but you can catch glimpses of the Epic (especially the bridge) if you pay attention.

Just curious; what is the guy between the drummer and the guitar player playing?

A djembe. It's essentially a congo drum, as far as I know.

He's a good friend of the band, and a talented singer/guitarist in his own right, and volunteered. We couldn't decide whether to use the kit or the djembe, so he played it with us. I wish the sound was better, it was really cool.

...Of course, I also wish my lead singer had been in tune...

Thanks; yes I know what a djembe is, I just couldn't make it out in the video.
