Hi Mica, I´m still interested to get some information about my bass, especially about the woods, as you can see in the showcase, there are different views about it and I personly have no idea. I just add the infos again, I already sent in my first file on this topic. Thank you very much!
--- Hi,I just got an Series one model. The top of the headstock is stamped with the year, "75", along with the serial # "225". This is the long scale model with the scale measuring about 34 1/4". The exotic wood on top is bubinga?. The back is another exotic wood. I do not know what the body is made of, if you have any further information about this instrument, I would be very happy to share them with you,
Thank you,
Peter from Berlin

Hi Peter,

Here are the details from the 75-225 instrument file. They don't seem to match your description of a long scale. Do you have pictures you can send me?

top and back: Koa
core: Maple
through body neck: Maple and Peruvian Walnut, 30.75" short scale
fingerboard: Ebony with abalone inlays*
birthday: not recorded

A new hardshell case was purchased for this bass in 1993. There is a note that the bass was received on 11-2-76 for repair, and shipped out on 11-11-76, but there is no indication what the repair was. It must have been something rather minor since it wasn't here long and not noted. It had an Anvil case at the time.

The original owner was in Indiana.

Mica, there are pictures of Peter's bass in this thread. It's definitely not a short scale.
