I am the second owner of this Essence and believe the wood to be Coco Bolo with an oil finish. Please provide the build list, since I always like to have as much information about the guitars I own as possible. Here's a so-so picture for those of you who are interested:

Mike- beautiful Essence. It sure looks like a zebrawood top to me with a Mahogany body. Mica will get around to the build card request eventually for you, but I'm nearly certain that you've got a zebrawood top there. Enjoy it and welcome to the club- |

Hi Mike, welcome to the board! I agree, looks like Zebrawood top, Mahogany body, Maple accent, Maple neck lams with Walnut pinstripes, Ebony fretboard. And it looks like this bass may have side LED's. |

Thanks for the comments. Yes, it does have red side LED's. The back does appear to be mahogany with a maple accent. I'll go with Zebrawood until I get the definitive answer. |
