Hello. I own a Spoiler (1983?) with a serial number of 83S2549. What is the history of this bass? Also, do you have any idea what the current market value of my bass is? Thank you! |

Hi Keith, welcome to the board! My guess on market value would be roughly $1,500US if it's in good condition with a case; but this is just a guess based on what I've seen Spoilers go for on Ebay and elsewhere, and given my limited ability to accurately remember stuff. |

Hi Keith, Welcome to the Alembic club! I found this previous thread with the build info you are requesting. http://alembic.com/club/messages/394/22201.html Play it Healthy! Art |

Thank you so much davehouck and artswork99!!! The previous thread with the build info was posted by me-I FORGOT THE PASSWORD THAT I USED AT THAT TIME!!! The information that you kind people have graciously provided for me will be very helpful as I am selling my beloved Spoiler. I have made the jump to 5-string for our church's high-energy gospel music services and am not playing the Alembic much these days.(I am currently playing a Cirrus 5 and am looking to add a Ken Smith 5) It has given me many years of joy and I pray that someone else can experience the same! Thank you again and God Bless!!! Keith |
