I had been looking for a 6. Found this through a very reputable seller who specializes in high-end basses on eBay. My second Alembic, and it's every bit as awesome as my first (a Series I).

BTW, I requested information on this bass when I registered it, but obviously you can ignore the other request in the registration.Essence 6

Hi Tom,

Here's what I found out about your bass:

top: Quilted Maple (noted as "Very Quilted Maple Primo Choice")
accent: Walnut pinstripe
body: Maple
through-body neck: 5-piece Maple with 4 Walnut pinstripes, 34" long scale
pickups: Alembic MXY
controls: volume, pan, filter, Q switch, mono output
birthday: July 28, 1993
originally made for: Guitar Resurrection, Austin, TX

There was one previously registered owner in Texas.

(Resurrecting a very old thread)

Thanks Mica,

The specs don't say what kind of fretboard wood is used. Do you know, or can you tell from this picture :pic of board

Looks like ebony to me. Ebony can have a variety of colors and patters.

Yup. Macassar Ebony is fairly normal for w-i-d-e fingerboards around here.
