Hey all, As of late, I've decided to pan my Epic more on the bridge side rather than what I've been doing for like the last 12 years (70-100% neck PU). Curiously, when I solo the bridge PU, the sound completely cuts out. When I pan just slightly back toward the neck PU, the sound comes back in. It sounds just fine, and functions as it should, until I get about 90% to the bridge PU. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeramaya |

Take off the backplate, check if the pan pot is sitting still when you turn it. If the little circuit board is touching the shielding paint, it can cause a harmless short - just a loss of signal. I've had this happen on the bass control, rather than the pan. It would be nice if there were instructions on how to overcome this problem with the Epic/Orion controls, in the FAQ section. Or even a DIY kit available from the mothership! |

I completely apologize for not reporting my findings! Oh man, it's not that I haven't been on here or anything. However, until yesterday, I did not have my amp so I couldn't try anything out. It's a long, boring story, but now that I have it I can fiddle around with and check it out. I really do appreciate the advice/troubleshooting method, but physical circumstances prevented me from fixing Chops! Damn those physical circumstances. Haha. I will get on the case and post my findings, probably tomorrow. Then, I also have to take some shots of Chops and get those posted in the newbie/welcome forum. Cheers! |

Well, nothing appears to moving around in there, but I uploaded two pics of the cavity *and* unfortunately exceeded the size limit for the photos. I'll try again later (new to iPhoto and having issues with resizing the files...). Thanks again for the help! Take care, Jeramaya |
