Mica...I am very interested in this 1997 R-5 from Chuck Levin's. Brian said it is a new/old stock axe and has never been played, owned or regristered. He didn't have the original card or build info......Could you please give me the build history and birth date etc.....Thank You for you help!

Looks like Mica is going on vacation- she's the one who usually checks on these requests. If you're interested in getting info quickly you might try calling Alembic. I don't know how able they'll be to find the card on the spot, but you're unlikely to get a response here for awhile.

Thanks for the heads up Toby. I will call but I'm probably gona get her anyway. Its a plain Maple for a very resonable price.Figure I can't go wrong,it is an Alembic! I'll order my "Quilted Maple" custom later.....I'll tell Brian that Danno gave regards!

I think you can safely assume that the bass is fine- they sell lots of Alembics from there and it sounds like Brian is a reputable guy (based on Danno's post).
If you end up not liking it I'm sure they have a return policy that you could work through. Good luck and post some pictures when it arrives.
BTW: I'm not sure Alembic does 'plain maple'. I asked for a plain flame maple top on the custom Elan they're building for me.... go check the FTC thread to see the insanely gorgeous top they picked. All of the wood they use is top notch and simply beautiful.
