It says "AE-1, Q, pan" which has the same controls and an Elan, but it's not actually the same circuit. Requested cavity picture below ;) When I purchased the bass the previous owner said that Alembic had sent a replacement for the Pan potentiometer (marked 475-024). The bass sounds great and the controls work perfectly! Have you even noticed a difference in the output of the neck and bridge pickup when the pots are both fully open and the pan is centered? My neck pick-up seems to be drastically lower. I don't know if this is normal or if it is a problem with p/u or circuit. Thanks. mica Moderator Username: mica Post Number: 6630 Registered: 6-2000 Posted on Friday, March 05, 2010 - 9:44 am:    There should be difference in volume when both trimmers are full up due to the physical location of the pickups, but generally it's the treble (bridge) pickup that has the lower output. If your neck pickup height is very low, it could account for some of the difference. The picture in this post for the Europa has the same trim pot positions as the Elan: http://alembic.com/club/messages/16271/24781.html?1139017200 If you reverse where the pickups are plugged in, you can determine if there is a problem with a pickup or the circuit, or it may reveal no problem. artswork99 Senior Member Username: artswork99 Post Number: 1001 Registered: 7-2007 Posted on Friday, March 05, 2010 - 1:56 pm:    Thanks Mica!
