Hi Mica..
I bought it 4 months ago, out of a Guitar Center here in Calif., it was hanging in the wall and I can't see that! :-)
Can you please provide me some info about my new bass?
It has upgraded electronis.
You can add my name to the file as the new owner of this beauty!!
Thanks!!
Claudio

Very nice, Claudio; congrats! Looks like bass and treble boost/cut switches have been added to make it Distillate electronics.

Yeah, basicaly we have an almost new Distillate 5 in a Spoiler body with the addition of the 3 purpleheart laminate, narrow neck, cocobolo top, rescued from a cold Guitar Center wall.
Still I'd love to see if Mica have more info on file.
Regards!!

Hi Claudio,

Here's what was in the file:
SMB5 Spoiler 5-string bass
top: Bocate
accent: Maple laminate
body: Mahogany
neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" (medium)
fingerboard: Ebony
taper: Classic (2.0 x 2.5)
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
pickups: Alembic AXY56
controls: "Spoiler" volume, filter, Q-switch, pickup selector switch, mono output
birthday: November 16, 1994
originally made for: Ross Music

There's no other records of repair or owners. I've noted that the bass and treble switches were added later so the file is complete now.
