I found a sweet playing Elan, but the dark top wood is a mystery to me.
It's colored like Cocobolo, but the grain is too straight & choppy.

Straight-grained coco bolo can be seen on the Coco Bolo Fantasy Featured Custom.

The coloring looks like Coco Bolo to me too. Another possibility might be Bubinga.

Could it be Vermilion?

I don't think it's Bubinga.
It doesn't have the signature splotchiness like my old Vector Persuader:

Curiosity made me pull this file ahead of others that have been waiting much longer (sorry! I am working on requests almost every day now).

It is settled.

top: Vermilion
accent: none
body: Maple
neck: 3-piece Maple
scale: long - 34"
fingerboard: Ebony, classic taper
inlays: Pearloid (plastic)
birthday: not recorded, likely late August 1989
originally made for: Arnold Williams Music

And now you know.
