Hi everyone,

Nice to be here, found out about this club recently.
I've owned my Alembic Essence for about 14-15 years. Got it from my father as a gift.
(He bought it used at Boogie Music i Växjö, Sweden.)

Now when I've found this club it would have been fun to know a little bit more about it.
What's the history, some info?

Off topic:
A little scary history about my Alembic..
Me and my band back then had a gig outside at a summerfestival.
Everything was "top of the line", warm sunny wheater, lots of people, some beer me and my bandmembers had fun and was playing some funk music...

Heading for some last tunes I changed bass to my 5-stringed and placed the Alembic backstage.
When finshed and going backstage, I found out that my Alembic was gone! What *+¤¤#%?!?! Looked everywhere, it was gone... stolen?!

When we had packed our stuff, I was really broken... my "baby" was gone...
Before we went off I went for a pee in the bushes behind the stage, then I saw it... My bass, there it was!!
Some idiot had taken it and throw it away... why??
I don't know, maybe jealous?! But the good thing it was "home" and not a single scratch. That's good quality!! =)
Uhh.. a hour of nightmare before i found it...

Well, I'll stop talking you to death!

Some pics on it.

Hi,

Thanks!

It's so easy to play and I really love the slap sound.

I really hope there are some history about it. In some way it came from USA to Sweden.

scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony, no inlays
finish: Clear Cherry Red
pickups: MXY

originally made for: Guitar Workshop, Norway
birthday: Sorry, not recorded, but likely in March of 1991
