This beautiful early Distillate is my first Alembic. I posted a pic in my profile. It is on the way and I can't wait.

I just purchased from the original owner. Any info is greatly appreciated. In particular, I wonder what woods are used and whether it is a solid body.

Cheers,

Colin

Mica,

Here are my guesses at what you'll find in the instrument file:

top: Koa
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Mother of pearl
peghead veneers: Koa
birthday: May 16, 1981
originally made for: not recorded

I found even less... Just a copy of the original warranty registration card. So all I can tell you from the file is that it was originally made for Vic Zinn's Music, the original buyer purchased it on July 7, 1981 and they were from Indiana.

Are those "guesses" from the original wood card?
