Happy birthday, Sam. So what kind of custom did you get?

Bill, tgo

Never mind above. Just saw it in Showcase section. Gorgeous bass - play it healthy for many years!

Hi Sam,

Here's the details I found in the file:

top: AAA Quilted Maple
accent: Purpleheart laminate
body: Mahogany
neck: 3-piece Maple with 2 Walnut pinstripes
peghead: Small Crown
inlays: none
finish: transparent amber
body shape: Small Standard
pickups: AXY
controls: volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output
hardware: polished brass
originally made for: Shomaker Music, NC
birthday: October 1, 1998

There's a note to move the neck to body joint so the tailpiece sits very close to the edge of the body.

There is one previous registered owner in FL, who updated us in 2004 that the bass was signed by Victor Wooten.

Ooops! I also see there is an Epic with the same serial number (well similar: 98W11816)

There's an interesting thing about the Victor Wooten signature. I went to Bass Central with some friends for a Victor Wooten clinic, saw this bass on the wall and bought it on the spot that day. Here's another update for you, it no longer has the bass, & treble. It now has a bass filter and Q switch.
