(2nd time post) Post Number: 1 Registered: 3-2009 Posted on Monday, March 30, 2009 - 12:47 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, Just bought this fantastic 94 Epic and would like to check its history, The bass was featured in bassist magazine and was the first ever to have SimS LED's fitted to it. It was last owned by Nigel Clutterbuck in the UK. Regards Ginge! |

That's a cool purchase Guy. I've had the pleasure of meeting nigel a few times at Bass Day Uk (and once at a stanley clarke gig at the Jazz cafe). He's a really nice down to earth guy and a phenomenal 'Slap' player. He had this epic with him at the second bass day when he was demonstrating for (I think) rotosound so I got to have a play on it. A really nice well used bass. If you know him, pass on my regards (one of the 2 Alembic t'shirt wearers). Graeme |

That's right Sam. We go everywhere (bass related) together ;-) We're off out for a few beers tonight, I'll tell him you said hi. Graeme |

Jacko, your right Nigel Clutterbuck is a fantastic bloke and a phenomenal slap player! i met up with him in a service station to collect the Epic and could have chatted to him for hours! An awe inspiring person and a bass legend! Have you checked out some of his clips on “You Tube”? Talk about fast fret work lol ! |
