Hi! I'm thinking about buying this beauty. Any info would be great, particularly year of manufacture, components, (spec?), etc. Thanks, Bob. |

First two digits are for the calendar year, so it was built/finished this year. |

Thanks for that info. It doesn't seem to have a coco bolo body face. Would there be some reason for that? |

You can custom order any Alembic guitar or bass with any combination of woods you like. Chances are the person who ordered it just wanted something different. There are a couple paint finish Tributes that I remember seeing in the showcase section. Good luck with the potential purchase. Mica has a lot of work on her plate and the serial number request aren't a high priority (meaning sometimes you have to wait awhile to get the info). If you're looking for quick info, we could probably sort out a lot of the details if you posted a picture of the guitar in question. Also, if it's an '09 the owner will probably still have the build card supplied by Alembic. |

Hi Bob, The TJ is a Tribute Stage model, and they all have the same feature set so far (there is one custom with a Coco Bolo top under construction now): top: Bloodwood accent: Maple body: Mahogany neck: Maple, Purpleheart and Cherry fingerboard: Ebony It should look very much like the guitar in this announcement. |
