Was wanting any info on my bass, bought it new in 1990 from the Bass Centre in Studio City. Didn't get a certificate with it for some reason. So any info would help. Also they told me it was the third of its kind, that Pocaro in Toto got the second one.
Also curious if theyve done alot with black hardware havent really seen any.

Thanks again

Here's the details from the instrument file:

ULB5 Europa 5-string bass

top: Flame Maple
body: Maple
neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony, custom width 1.75 x 3.00
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
pickups: Alembic AXY56 - bass pickup moved .75" towards bridge
controls: "Europa" volume, pan, filter, Q switch, bass cut/flat/boost, treble cut/flat/boost, mono side-mounted output
finish: Caribbean Blue
hardware finish: Blackend brass
originally made for: Bass Centre Los Angeles
birthday: Not recorded, but likely mid-November 1990

We don't formally track how many of each model was made, but I do remember that the first Europa was made for an employee at Bass Centre. I was under the impression that Mike Pocaro acquired the first Europa, but I may be wrong.

Hey Mica
Thanks so much for your time!
Its sounds like the rumors may have been true. Well hopefully Im number three!
Well anyway I love the bass its sounds great and works for just about everything I do.
Im really interested in getting a 4 string series bass also at some point. Ive never played one around here in Utah but man I love the look. Im also interested in maybe a Kingbass also. Maybe Ill have to take a trip to Ca. again to try out a series bass.
Thanks again Mica appreciate all your help.
