Hi. I've asked once about the story of my Elan, if possible. But so many time passed and I can't find any answer. Can you tell me something about this bass? I bought it used in London The Bass Gallery store. thank you. best regards {edited for picture alignment - Adriaan} (Message edited by adriaan on April 21, 2010) |

Nice one! The purpleheart neck laminates are an upgrade, and that's a nice flame walnut top. The ears on the tuners look a bit odd, perhaps. |

That sure is a beauty. I just love the shape of Elan basses. I have a 4 string but a 5 would be magic. Jazzyvee |

Sorry your original request was archived before I attended to it. Here's what I found in the file: top: Figured Walnut (truly an understatement!) accent: Purpleheart pinstripe body: Maple neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart scale: 34" long fingerboard: Ebony, custom size 1.66 x 2.87 inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals finish: polyester gloss pickups: AXY56 controls: "Elan" volume, pan, filter, Q Switch, mono output originally made for: Bass Centre, London birthday: June 24, 1992 There's no record of the modifications you described in the file. Looks like a fantastic instrument. Enjoy! |
