Does anyone can help me properly wire an alembic pickup?

I just bought a bass with an alembic pickup though one of the wires is not properly connected to anywhere... I was thinking that maybe it should be part of the ground but i need to make sure

There are 2 wires out of the pickup system and i would like to know where the other is supposed to be placed?

Any help would be appreciated

Do you get any signal from the bass? Is there anywhere obvious on the board or pots where it might have connected? And, could it possibly be an artifact of the passive electronics (that other end of the wire doesn't connect to the bridge by any chance does it?)? Some additional close up photos of the intact portion might be helpful.

I'm no electronics expert, but it seems to me that you'll need a battery to power that pre-amp, and I don't see a battery clip or anything.

Thanks hydrargyrum and adriaan. your inputs were really spot on.

The extra wire was a left-over
and i added a battery-clip and the bass now works!

thanks alot to you both!

How does it sound?
Fenderish or Alembicish?
