Hello! I won a Mark King Signature Deluxe Bass in an auction recently, but did not know about this forum until after I won.

The seller says that it is in "as-new" condition, since he just bought it a few months ago. It would be great to find out a little more about the instrument.

Thank you.

Derrick

Hello Derrick and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on you MK Deluxe. I too play one and love it. Did your bass come with the wood card describing the different wood and other options? The card information is what Mica will post to this thread (please be patient). Hope that you are enjoying your new bass. Play it Healthy! Art

Thanks for the ultra quick response and the nice welcome Art and Dave.

I actually have not received the bass yet. I am relieved to find that it was made for Terry, who listed it, and who I am buying it from.

The wait is excrutiatingly painful!!!

Hi Derrix, on Friday last I received an "as-new" alembic bass from another forum member that has signature electronics. If you have not experienced Alembics before you will be in for two immediate shocks.

1) when you open the case and see the bass.
2) when you plug in and play for the first time.

if you have had alembics before, then you know all that.

Let me know how long it takes you to stop smiling. :-)

Welcome to the club and enjoy your "as new".

Hey, Derrix!
Welcome to the club. Your bass is beautiful. From enchanted forest to enchanted musical instrument. I've had my MK Sig Dlx for just over one year and I'm just now getting to learn her. An Alembic will take you just as deep into yourself as you dare. Just make sure you can handle it!

Seriously, I'm excited for you.
