ANY scoop on this one? Seen it recently, looks awesome and REAL, just trying to verify authenticity. Possibly an '85. |

Hi Rich, I did not find any previous lookup on this bass (and yes I saw it too) currently here at the forum. The serial does make it a 1985 and the "S" identifies it as a Spoiler Exploiter. I have taken the liberty to correct the thread subject to 85S3631 for when Mica is able to get to it. As you may know it takes time for these inquiries which doesn't help if there is an immediate need. It does look nice and "real" - a Spoiler Exploiter indeed! Good luck, Art (Message edited by artswork99 on September 27, 2010) |

The file has the typical scant "black & chrome" from this series of builds. This one doesn't even have a birthday but I can tell you it was made for Guitar Shop, Scottsdale, AZ. An educated guess for the build details: body: solid Maple or Mahogany body shape: Exploiter neck: 3-piece Maple scale: 32" medium fingerboard: Ebony inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals pickups: AXY controls: "Spoiler" volume, pickup selector, filter, Q switch, mono output It was originally registered in March of 1986. The second registered owner sent in the details in 2002. |
