Hi EddieG,

I have added your serial number to the thread title to help facilitate the look-up. That's cool that you've had it for 25 years now! Pictures are enjoyed here by many if possible.

It can sometimes take several months to get this information together. I'd like to see a better pic of the SI... I can't really tell what the top-wood is. Cute kid!!!

For picture viewing and editing download Irfanview. Just remove the Google part once it is installed.

Hi Gerald,

Here's what I found in the file for your bass:

MSBI-4 Series I 4-string bass

top: Schedua
body: Mahogany
back: Schedua
neck: Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: mother of pearl
peghead veneers: Bocate and Zebrawood
originally made for: Rothchild
birthday: not recorded, but likely July 1978

The only other items in the file are a history request you made in 1990 (nice handwriting!) and a repair we completed in 1991 regarding hum.

Thanks....Guys....Oh yeah I remember that. I remember calling just as Ron was working on it. That was a great privilage for me to actually talk to the King as he was working on my bass....whod a thunk !!!! the hum came from some jackhole hitting the control knobs with a chair.

Rothchild ?... I've heard that name before !?

Peace!!!!

[moderator's edit: new thread started by user bgal for serial request]

Eddie, bgal (Alan) had placed another serial number request here and I appropriately moved it to a new thread. Sorry for the confusion. Best, Art
