Help!

I cannot live without my F-1X preamp. It is distorting. I tried to open it up to check the tube, but I do not have the correct wrench for the side screws. Anybody know what size that takes? Looks like a very small allen wrench type.

Anyone know where I can get the unit serviced, preferably in the Denver, CO area?

Thanks for any help!!

Sorry I don't recall the driver size, but you don't need to open the case to remedy this problem 95% of the time, follow the advice on this page and you should be good to go.

Thank you! I will try that and report back! (The unit was in my rack, so I'm VERY hopeful!)

A 9mm pistol brass cleaning brush and some rubbing alcohol will also do a good job on the 1/4 input jacks on anything guitar related! Just flick most of the liquid off the cleaning brush first.
