I am thinking of buying this beauty as my first Alembic bass and wandered if you had some info on it. It is a 5 string and the gentleman selling it to me appears to be a great guy. I was also wandering how much are these going for nowadays. There's an earlier thread requesting the build record for 92H7242, except it turned out they got the serial number wrong and it was actually 92H7247, a 4 string. That is pretty sweet. I saw your other thread, prices are hard to narrow down, I paid $1800 in '05 for a 5-string Essence, I don't think it is a bad price, it sure is a lot of bass. To some the road case adds value, but, if you are hauling that around yourself, it is pretty heavy. Regular cases pop up now and then both here and on the 'Bay.
