Hey guys, I have an original Spoiler hard case, but no keys for the two locks. Since it only has one small latch that doesn't need a key closed, carrying The guitar in the case is downright scary. Im just waiting for it bust open, spilling my new Spoiler onto the pavement. I've been carrying it like a baby haha. Are Alembic keys universal? The locks say "Cheney" and are produced in England. Any help greatly appreciated, hopefully Alembic case keys are universal. (Message edited by bmoseleyinc on March 25, 2011) (Message edited by bmoseleyinc on March 25, 2011) |

HI, A good precaution is to get a locking luggage strap to prevent the unthinkable. |

You can buy extra case latches that just screw onto the outside. |

The keys are universal as far as I know. Email me your mailing address and we can send you a set (I never use mine). |

Even with the latches locked I often use a luggage strap to prevent a mishap. Those latches are not very strong to begin with and I have seen them fail locked or unlocked over my 4 decades (yes 40 years ) of dragging Bass cases around . Just a suggestion friend ! |

You can also turn it around so that if the case does happen to open, it will hit your leg instead of open out away from you. I do that all the time anyway. |

Mica, I sent you my address, thank you very much for the keys! Longhorn: I was thinking about that. I might get a couple extra latches, and put them on the sides. Good Idea. Sonicus: I will take that into consideration, if you've seen them fail, might as well be safe than sorry. Hieronymous: Im going to do that everytime I carry it now, haha. |

Got my keys today, along with a cool sticker, and note. Thank you very much Mica, glad to be part of the Alembic family. New Bass is killing it in the studio. I've gotten tons of compliments already. (Message edited by bmoseleyinc on April 14, 2011) |
