After a number of years of searching, I've eventually found a great double bass and after having a few lessons I think I've found my musical soul mate and I'm completely sold on the instrument to the point that I've decided that I would like to concentrate on purely acoustic instruments without distraction from now on. I'm keeping one acoustic guitar and my first stratocaster, but everything else is going. So over the next few months my alembics, strats etc and amplification will be offered here then if not sold for the right money, sold on ebay. Here are some links from the site of my instruments if anyone is interested please contact me either on here or via email which is in my profile. I'm not desperate to sell quickly so if they do not raise the right money I'll keep them. I would prefer to sell them in the UK to avoid the worries of shipping, for overseas buyers I will only ship in a flight case that I can get custom made at extra cost and ship the original case separately at my cost. Dragon magic http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_dragonmagic.html Europa/Elan 5 http://alembic.com/club/messages/631/57606.html?1279803631 Elan plus 4 ( Europa electronics) http://alembic.com/club/messages/411/35750.html?1279090389 I will post the rest later as I'm off to work now. Hello Jazzy, Are you sure? quite apart from the music that you will no longer get a chance to funk, you are a huge part of the Alembic club and I would miss your comments so please stay in the family. Regardless, I really love dragon magic so if you could email me what you want for it I'll let you know if I can give it a good home. you can email me at garth4664@gmail.com I tend to travel a lot (all over the world) for work so wherever you are (USA, europe) there is a possibility that I could swing by some time to pick it up personally |

Possibly a joke, but it's not like all of those who have sold our Alembics have left the site. Take me for example. Someday when funds allow, I'd like to own another one, but I don't have the budget for more than my main guitar at the moment. If you are serious Jazzy, then I also hope you'll stick around as well. |

Garth and Enzo were on the ball, and It's good that you smelt a scam here. I wanted to get my April Fools day joke in ahead of Mica and the Knobfest trick from last year. I managed to catch a few of my mates out with other scams today so all is well. Jazzyvee |

Jazzy even though I don't know you personally, just by reading your posts, I knew that it takes more than that to make you sell your Alembics |

I believed it until 30 seconds after I posted my first message and a similar email. Well played sir - someone needs to actually build knobfest for next year. |

I hauled my bass rig up to a gig after work yesterday, arranged over the last few weeks by the singer I usually work with, keyboard player, etc., - walked in the door, and turned out to be April Fool's joke - dinner with family and friends instead, all waiting for me to struggle in door with my bass, amp, gig bag, music stand...much levity. should've known to be wary of a gig on April 1. Enzo you are right It would take a heck of a lot to bring me to sell my Alembics. Even thought I don't do many gigs these days. I do get a lot of enjoyment out of playing them at the few gigs I do, playing them at home and of course owning them. They all have a beautiful sound and look beautiful and feel amazing to play. But then you know that from your own instruments. Jazzyvee |
