I stopped by the Indianapolis Guitar Center yesterday and was astounded to see 5 Alembic basses one their used rack...

1) 5-string Mark King in what looks like maple burl, omega body with extended upper horn. Wide spacing. volume/pan/filter knobs with B/T/Q switches. Nearly perfect condition. Needs setup. $3999.00 God I want it.

2) 4-string Stanley in probably rosewood with LEDs and signature electronics I think. Perfect condition. $3999.00 Ditto on wanting it.

3) 6-string Epic. Pretty beat up and not setup at all. I think it was in the $2600.00 range (I wasn't really paying attention - sorry!)

4) 75 or 76 Series I point 4-string. Decent shape. Perhaps it's vermillion. $3600.00 range.

5) 75 or 76 Series I point 5-string with fan peghead. Narrow string spacing. tailpiece is a cross between bird and mustache. Perhaps it's rosewood. Decent shape. $3600.00 w/cable. It's a really neat looking instrument.

They also had 3 used electric uprights..

Another member in the Indianapolis area will likely be able to stop in and gather more details. I was in a hurry to hit Trader Joe's for some organic food...

Most of those may be seen on GC's auction site, instrumentexchange.com. I suggest polite but firm haggling by parties interested in any of those instruments.
