Hey Dave, that really should read Bass Case maybe? I can't change it but you can if you want. OK. I got this case see. When I bought my Elan it came in a pretty nice ABS case that worked ok but I didn't like the look. So I saw a case on Craigslist in Memphis and gave the guy a call. I told him if he didn't mind shipping it I was a buyer. So long and short is it doesn't say Alembic on it anywhere. It has no neck hold down strap. It is black tolex with a blue grey interior. It fit my Elan perfectly. It will take an instrument 47 7/8" long, (like a Jazz for instance but not a Precision. It is well made. The Elan went to it's new owner in the ABS case. I'm headed off tomorrow AM for my son's wedding on Saturday and won't be able to take pictures 'till Monday but it's in nice shape. When I got it it had a tag taped to the side saying Alembic and a stock number. The seller said it came out of a Studio (Memphis or Nashville, he couldn't remember). He had a Jazz in there and went to a TSA case. I have no idea if it's even an Alembic. I dunno. Don't they say Alembic on them? I'm $75 deep in it plus shipping of $50 from Memphis. If you are interested let me know. I'll never have a 34" scale again so I have no need for it. Trades of something will work. (like for instance my Tele ain't got no case. (When you use the word Tele in the same sentence with case you gotta talk cowboy) Do I have to put a price in here? $1000, VERY negotiable.......;o) just kidding please. Lighten up already. Think about it and e-mail me at my profile address and we'll figure something out and get accurate measurements etc. Dan (Message edited by skyboltone on April 28, 2011) (Message edited by skyboltone on April 28, 2011) |
