Hello,
I have this Oasis Guitar from Oct. 1980, serial #0153 signed by Gary Cooper. This is a beautiful guitar that plays like a dream. There has been repair to the body, but it was done by a guitar pro and he did a beautiful job. I am listing this to see who out there is interested in buying this rare instrument.

Hi kwaltz,

Welcome to the club. I can see how being new it might take a bit to figure out what's what. You would have a better chance of selling your guitar if you were to create a separate listing for your instrument, rather than tagging it onto Olie's.
Alembic has made it simple to do. Go back to the main "For Sale & Trade" page, scroll down to the bottom and select "Start Thread" on the left. Fill in the info and away you go.

Best of luck,
Mike

This guitar was originally offered to me at the World Guitar Show in San Rafael last January. Wolf, (Sonicus), was at my booth at the time and saw it too. The owner picked it up for peanuts at a garage sale! (I wish I could make a score like that!) At the time the owner, (who I believe isn't a player and knew nothing about the instrument), wanted crazy money for it ($5K), thinking it was a custom job for some unknown famous rock star. It is a nice guitar. Both Wolf and I felt it was on the low end side for an Oasis, though still quite rare and nice. The owner recently got back in touch with me and offered it for a more reasonable price, but still a bit more than I think it's worth, or at least more than I'm willing to pay. Anyone who buys this will have a truly rare and unusual guitar.

Hi Bill, ___Yes I remember the couple that showed up with an Oasis Guitar at the World Guitar show and the garage sale story. As can be seen here they have not able to sell it for the original asking price. I also do remember that although it was a quality instrument that it was rather plain & simple , but as Bill mentions a very nice instrument .

I wanted to thank you guys for your help at the show. We have been battling over giving this up. My wife plays and loved the action and we hate to lose it. Luckily, it has found a good home and feel Gary Coopers work will be honored as it should be.
Thanks again for your insight and kind treatment at the show.
