This guitar was custom made by Alembic for Jerry Garcia. Short of Number One, that has to be the holy grail of early Alembics. Looks like the authentication (by Bob Weir, who should surely know) is absolutely airtight. At a Christie's auction I'd guess one would need several hundred thou to purchase this instrument. After all, this IS Alembic #13 . Right ? More people would find this item as well . As a regular process many Alembic Fans type Alembic as a search word on eBay to see what is new ! I hear your concern, but if you read the listing's description on eBay or the home page of our website you will see loads of respect to Alembic. We then learned more about the guitar. They have a phone number that you can access where one can explain ones positive intentions to remedy an obstacle on their site and sometimes they will help you. I have had a mixed experience with eBay staff as well , with sometimes helpful and effective personnel and sometimes less. I still hope for the best outcome to help the charity attain the goal .
