I have a Modulus/Alembic Strat I bought back in 1978 or 1979. I was told it was assembled by Dan Torres. It has a one piece solid Zebrawood ( Boogie Bodies )body , brass gold-plated bridge , schaller mini-tuners , 3 custom wound single-coils , a master volume , master tone , 3-way switch , boost switch , and a pot to control the boost , and a Modulus / Alembic graphite neck with the number 0002 on the heel. My guess is this is the second neck they made. Before they started making the Blacknife guitars. I would like to know what it is worth. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Randy |

Sounds a very interesting guitar. Do you have any pictures to assist in helping someone here evaluate the guitar. Jazzyvee |

Randy, welcome to the forum! Like Jazzy said, a bunch of us would love to see pics! One main factor in determining early Modulus prices is whether the finish coat on the neck has aged well. I've seen early necks matched with absolute S*&T for a body and components sell for as much as $2K~ I mean instances where the neck rout didn't even match the neck!!! Having a Blacknife myself, I often toy with the idea of matching it with a denser body and swapping the EMGs with Alembic Activators.... For me that would be the ideal "strat" |
