Hi Everyone. Just seen this Series 1 come up on eBay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alembic-Series-1997-Near-Mint-4-String-Bass-/200648758571?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2eb799152b I could very well be mistaken, but it looks really similar to the one being sold in this thread recently - http://alembic.com/club/messages/395/111615.html?1314073988 Lots of pictures, and certainly a pretty bass indeed - someone will get a nice bass if they have the spare cash in the current climate. Cheers James |

Hi. Sadly looks like the economic situation in Europe still means that even pretty basses like this one are too rich for most people - it's been relisted a couple of times, and the price keeps coming down. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alembic-Series-1997-Near-Mint-4-String-Bass-/200651349005?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2eb7c09c0d Europe may command higher prices than the US, but people still have to have the money at the end of the day, and it seems that high-end basses just aren't selling. |
