It's mine.
Actually, I thought the price was a bit high.
Buy it from me here and I'll drop the price $100.
(What eBay would take in fees.)

That's a beautiful instrument. Love the top. I'd go for it myself if I hadn't just made the down payment on a custom Further for my son.

Bill - that really is a beautiful top.
What does the "dual battery switch" do?
Assuming that is the extra switch next to the 1/4" output jack.

Yes the price does seem high, specially if you consider that an 8-string Distillate is for sale at an asking price of $5,000.

Thank You for your honesty guys. That and all the great info Is why I keep finding myself back on this board. Right now I'm saving and learning what the honest values of used Alembics are. The choices are hard and the $ is well you know. I can see myself however pulling the trigger if $ and Bass align. Thanks again

Well, the price is not too high.
I had it sold last week, but ended up swapping it out for my Short Scale Series One.
I don't think this auction will last long, I've got almost 100 people watching and several requests for international shipping quotes.

The extra switch selects between two 9 volts.

The price is high for a typical, average distillate. This bass has a nicer top than most and seems to be in much better condition. One problem with generic concepts of value is that there are so many variations in wood recipe, grain, and condition. It's always hard to judge from pics, but I bet the price isn't out of line for this instrument in this condition.

I've found that instrument prices vary with the season.
Low in the summer, higher in the winter.
About the opposite of automobiles.
