Here's a Koa Spoiler for sale at Garrett Park Guitars. Having just bought a Distillate, I took some interest in this one. The price seems a little bit high, although it looks to be in pretty good shape. Looks like there's some funny business going on with the electronics. I also don't think I've seen Alembic pickups with 4 screws in them before. I wonder if the preamp has been changed. http://www.gpguitars.com//product_info.php?products_id=3447&osCsid=d358f6548eca9f021abc8d295b679604 Haven't gone over to check this one out; has anyone else tried it out? I doubt that I am really in the market for this one, so go for it if ya like it! |

They also have it on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/250947488900 From all the things you can see wrong, I doubt this bass has been very well cared for. (cracked pickup cover, incorrect pickup attachment, mismatched knobs) It's also price about $1000 over market. |

I am suspect of the electronics. The one knob looks like it is for stacked controls. This leads me to believe the electronics have been replaced. Before considering this one the purchaser should look inside the control cavity. Keith |

It's more than $1k over market with the electronics replaced, at least for the knowledgeable. If they are a reputable shop, it might be nice if they were made aware of what they are selling. |
