See: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3743911611&fromMakeTrack=true Interesting combination of bass gear... I think the price is not too exceptional, but neither is it a rip off. (Message edited by bassman10096 on August 23, 2004) |

I have one of the 18 ELF cabs and the same integrator this guy is selling. It takes a dedicated power amp channel. I'm running my other cabs full range out of the F1-X and the other channel at 2 ohms. It gives me room for a 112, a 210 and a 115 in addition to the ELF. I'm pretty sure I'll be switching the 210 out for a 212. Good to hear from ya, Paul! Bill |

I just picked up 2 S18E-C's. They are 8ohm 400w. I'm gonna try them out with the other cabs. Acme 210, 410, 4 ohm, epi 310 5.3 ohm and 115 8 ohm. Choice baby....choices! Danno |

Two of 'em will blow up a wind for you. What model integrator are you using? I'd love to hear your reviews of the various A's and B's and combinations. Keep in mind that the ELFs are just subs. They roll off at 95hz on the high end. For me, I've been playing around with my other cabs in combinations to figure out what I like best for the midbass, mid and high (plus still leaving myself with a tasty, non-ELF small rig). Keep us posted. Bill |

I just picked up the ELF M2 for the subs. I have to hook it up to an amp to see how they run. Danno |

I don't recall what the differences were, but I was told the M2 offers a few configuration options that the basic integrator model does not. BTW, Dan, one of the Bag End techies (call their main #), was very helpful and interested in taking time to answer all my questions. If you are not certain of anything, he'd help you out. Looking forward to hearing your impression. Bill |

I did call this afternnon. They were most helpful. The M2 can be run as a 3 way as well as stereo 2way (Sub summed). The tech suggested that I should run at least 5oo watts to the sub. BTW I got all 3 pieces for $618 used. I have a couple of crest amps I may pull out for this, Danno |

What a freakin' deal!! You could spend that much on the M2, used! Good going! Suffice it to say, I paid more...

Another ELF rig on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3746455649&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT . I imagine the reserve is still a good bit higher (unless the seller is the same guy Danno bought from!). Danno: Any feedback on your ELF outfit? Bill |

I tried it out with full range out of F1X into M2 one channel to highs, epifanis and low to the 18's. The bottom was more than I'm used to. It rattled the room. I'm also using it as a rental PA with some JBL tops. I think I have to get used to it for bass. I'd like to take it out to a big gig and see how it runs. Maybe the 310 as a top and the 18 as the bottom? Does it ever end???? Danno |

Yeah. The bass is pretty overwhelming. And it fills the room even at low volume. I set the bass control on my F1-X at #1 on the dial, then EQ the lows down by 12db to the ELF and up by 12db to my full range cabs. Go figure. I haven't had it out anyplace big yet either. One thing I like is that I can pan the gains on my EQ for my 15 and the ELF to make the bass sound growlier (more of the 15) or "muffier" (more ELF). Even when I'm using the 12 cab and the 15 for a lot of sound, the ELF is great to have on the very bottom. I doubt that justifies carrying the extra weight, but it sounds cool at home! Very "studio-perfect". I've got to think the 310 as top and ELF as bottom would be worth a try. Bill |
