Maybe I'm showing my age but I really dig the elan, spoiler, Europa, and I think it's called a " balanced K" (to me the "K" stands for Kyra, my daughters name) newer bodies ..... On the other hand, an Essence without some upgrades on it is really in the same class as a Spoiler or Persuader. $2300 for a Spoiler is a lot of money in this market, as is $2750 for that Essence, but there are often exceptional instruments or unusual deals. Many upgraded Essence basses are out there because it was the least cost starting point to add features from. I have one that looks like an SC with Europa electronics and LEDs, but has an Essence serial number because of the way it was ordered. I bought my first two essences from him. He is a nice dude, and his gear is in great shape. It is just overpriced. But, it is his to sell. SKB calls their regular plastic enclosure a "flight case", so I would confirm exactly what the case is before I count any chickens.
