These are plug and play installation so no soldering required. Standard Jazz size (bridge slightly wider than neck) The controls are v,v, filter for the jazz bass purist and there is a trim pot inside to tweak the filter. This model is no longer made in that the control configuration was changed to volume, pan, filter. I think they sound great! Super quite and super wide dynamic range. They can go from crystalline highs to dubby lows. If I had another jazz I would probably put them in it.
