My dear friend Seamus died last year, leaving behind his Alembic Series 1 Bass Guitar, serial no: 76562, and hard case, both in immaculate condition. His sister has asked me to help her sell it - we don't know how, or how much it is worth - can anyone help please? Replies to teri.west@btinternet.com |

Well, this is a good place to start. Please post some pics so we can get a better idea about this bass. If the Alembic folks see your post, hopefully they will post the build info. |

Hi Teri, welcome to the club! I must admit that my first reaction was: a nickname like 'taleteller' combined with a story like that, I smell something fishy! I shouldn't be on the internet and eBay this often I guess. But that's just me, please don't be offended. It must be wonderful to be a storyteller for a living! I can only 'ditto' Dave's recommendation, please try to post some pictures. This is a very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful bunch of people... Wilfred |

Teri, I'm sorry to hear about your Seamus. It's tough to lose a friend. Dear ones are hard to come by. There's always a chance that some one here would be interested but you may want to try ebay also. I've sold a couple of basses that way. Good luck to you. Hi Teri, Sorry about your loss. I would certainly be interested in a Series One (obviously dependent on body style, woods and scale length). Judging by your email address you appear to be located in the UK (me too, i'm in Surrey). Once we have a better idea on what you have there, I might be able to make you a serious offer. My personal address is andy.tait@orange.net in you have any further pics or details. Cheers, Andy. |

Thanks for the advice everyone - will acquire a digital camera and attempt to post some pics - despite the nickname the tale is all true - TJ |
