That configuration would be a perfect stage guitar for me. Three pickups, filter and blade switch. However my musical instrument budget is closed for the foreseeable future.

Sweet. Almost makes me wish I didn't have sausages for fingers.

Nice guitar, looks kinda like an Electrum to me though. Who is Frank Gamble?

No, not an Electrum, but a Spectrum with a Small Standard body. The Electrum body shape is a little bigger and not totally symmetrical.

The guitar wasn't made for Frank, but it was a custom build. I added a copy of the picture with the signature to the instrument file today. Another little trivia: Frank's brother was our importer to Australia many years ago.

Seeing stuff like this makes me depressed, and in this economy... bitter...

I agree with jazzyvee, perfect stage guitar for me, but alas my instrument budget is also currently non existent. Someone on this forum better buy this guitar, (so I can buy it from you sometime down the road!) lol

I think if I didn't have my dragon, I'd have made a bid for that. Not because of the connection to Frank but because I'd seen one like that a few years back for sale here and missed it and never seen another one since. The "Strat layout of three pickups, 5 position blade switch, master volume and filter suits me perfectly...
straightforward simple to use and intuitive to me. :-)

That sure is a sweetie.
