The previous seller was asking $2700 and that bass must have gone around at least five times with no interest. I made the mistake of suggesting to that seller that maybe his price was a bit high if it had gone around so many times with no interest, and that he might try a lower starting bid while keeping the high reserve just to see what the market was willing to pay. I don't think he had any outright lies in his description, but he did push the limits. I vaguely remember something about the custom lack of neck inlays to provide that very clean look and no distractions on an Essence that doesn't come with any to begin with.
