I'm willing to spend between 1600.00 and 2200.00 - USA dollars. Cali Specials turn up on eBay once or twice a year. Your price is not unreasonable. One place you might try is Guitar Showcase in San Jose, CA. They had a green Cali Special on consignment from Steve Miller for quite a while. It might still be there. Otherwise, keep checking eBay, this site, and keep your ears open. One will always turn up sooner or later. Also, I beleive the Cali Special is like a Strat - 25.5" scale. California specials certainly are less common, which is what makes pricing them accurately more difficult. I know of the greean Cali special at Guitar showcase. Several weeks ago I put in a bid but after a week the owner of the guitar (not the store) still hadn't back to the store - so i pulled my bid.
