Barring the heavy (slap/digging in) wear on the pickup covers and lack of TRC this looks a nice example (edit: in Netherlands, not Belgium!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1977-Alembic-Series-1-Bass-shortscale-24-fret-flamed-mahogany-Hardcase-EC-/130682031084?pt=Gitarren&hash=item1e6d418bec#ht_12354wt_1033 (Message edited by clarkybass on June 07, 2012) |

I'm sure I read here in the past that some of the very early instruments did not have a TRC. It certainly does not look like there is a recess for one or threaded inserts. Jazzyvee |

My '76 Series I guitar has no TRC. My '77 Series I 12 string does. The 12 was born on 11/30/77, so I imagine TRCs began to show up sometime in 1977. Bill, tgo |

Profile edited ;) Let's just hope condition is no worse than pics suggest- will post my own pics once it arrives. Tempted to try and source some better condition pick ups and dummy - then again do I want to ruin the 'all original' status? Lol |
