Hello All, It is me again, I just got this bass but I am stuggling with the balence and long reach to the lower register. SOOOO here we go again, I am interested in many models from nice Orions, Rogues, Europa's and even short scale models, I am just looking for my niche. The bass is number 41 of the 200 made, you can see it in the showcase section, but it has it's original brass hardware not the silver. This game is tough! sigh -Ed |

Man, this must be tough for you. I hope you are able to either adjust to your bass or find another that sits right for you. I blundered into a Rogue, and have been extremely happy with the feel as well as the sound. Hangs well, everything falls where it should. Wish I had LEDs, but that's easily remedied. Good luck! Only Alembics, though, I suppose? I have a nice Zon Legacy Elite 5 that's on the block. Translucent red over quilted maple top and a Piezo bridge to blend in with plenty of tonal control. -Bob |

Must be the change of season, absolutely beautiful in my neck o' the wood: sunshine, seventy, and a cold bottle of Becks.

Bah, no big deal. I suspect Ed has no interest in a Zon anyway. I don't even particularly want AM-041 other than to see it ends up in a good home, and out of frustration for not being able to find the short/medium scale instrument I have been hunting for. |

Bob, I know of a long-idle walnut Spoiler you could pick up for a reasonable price and fit with Signature guts if you're looking for greater tweakability. I have a virgin electric drill just waiting for a suitable task. Just think of the possibilities... |

Ed, Off topic...but any reason to think you're related to Bobby Orr of the Boston Bruins hockey club? Mike |

Mike, Yeah, actually I did some checking since I had been asked so many times, and turns out the he is a second cousin actually, not that far down the bloodline, but I traded in my skates for strings awhile ago. -Ed |

Well, I'll be, I don't know why it crossed my mind. Ages ago we lived in the Andover MA area when Bobby and the Bruins were the team to beat. |

hey everyone, Mike (Groovelines) and I reached a cash plus trade deal for this bass. I wasn't going to let it go someone outside the club. This is a good deal for each of us Mike is getting what he needs and so am I. Some of you may think I am crazy for getting an Orion 5 w/europa electronics and LED's plus cash for a 20th but I have my reasons. Just last week I picked up a new old stock Orion 5 fretless and absolutly love it. So I figure That having the same bass but with frets is going to work to my advantage. Plus it has Europa electronics and LED's. I even enjoy the Crown headstock!! I know I will meet disagreement on that. LOL -Ed |
