I don't usually look at stuff like this on eBay but happened to check this one out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-ALEMBIC-DISTILLATE-Guitar-JAPAN-PROMO-PRINT-AD-/310298190744?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f36a398#ht_976wt_828

Thanks, I love that Bass too. I won her in an eBay auction and drove 842 miles round trip to get her in person. |

I think a modular brass control plate along w/ a modular brass pickup ring would be a great idea for Alembic dealers.... have a couple of "test bed" instruments in house at all times, w/ plates for all the pup configurations and electronic packages imaginable.... |

I love the background image - would love to see a block-print Alembic catalog! (I'm old-fashioned though) |

Pace, I like that modular idea. One step further though, I think would be for alembic to make and sell an outboard stomp box/DI with alembic tone circuits. I think it would be great for someone who had a bass or guitar that they wonted to improve the tone of but didn't want to carve out the innards of a treasured instrument to add alembic pickups and electronics. Something like a heavy duty Pro-co Rat shaped box would be great. jazzyvee |
