One step further though, I think would be for alembic to make and sell an outboard stomp box/DI with alembic tone circuits. I think it would be great for someone who had a bass or guitar that they wonted to improve the tone of but didn't want to carve out the innards of a treasured instrument to add alembic pickups and electronics.
